THREE PARTS TO YOUTH In 2024

LOCAL YOUTH (Colonel Light Gardens and Tonsley combined)

We hang out together for a while, sometimes hear a short talk, testimony or pray together, then break up into small groups to study the Bible in more depth. It's a great place to explore what it looks like to follow Jesus as a teenager. Anyone in Year 7-12 at high-school is welcome. All capped off with dinner together.

We meet at the Hawthorn Community Centre, 5 Frimley Grove, Hawthorn, google map here.

To help cover costs $5 for regulars, $3 for siblings. Visitors free.

SUMMIT SOCIALS AND SUMMIT CAMP

Summit is our combined youth for the Southern region including our Trinity churches at Tonsley, Colonel Light Gardens, Unley, Brighton and Woodcroft. Our next Summit social details are still coming but it'll be on Friday September 20. We've had our Summit camp for 2024, you can see the video below.

TRINITY YOUTH

Trinity Youth is when our youth join the youth from across the Trinity Network one Friday night a term. The night runs from 7-9pm at Temple Christian College, 2 Henley Beach Road Mile End and are great high energy nights to meet in a larger group.

Our next Trinity Youth is running on Friday 23 August 2024 with more details coming shortly.

What's CHill NIGHT AND FAMILY NIGHT?

One of the things we'll be focusing on in the second half of the 2024 is deepening the relationships within groups and with their leaders. We'll be inviting parents to have their youth leaders over for dinner one night or youth joining some of our leaders with their families for dinner for example. We'll be encouraging groups to do a social together each term as well. Another aspect of this is chill night and family night which we're really looking forward to.

CHILL NIGHT SUNDAY AUGUST 11: 4-6PM

On chill night, we'll be providing great food and helping groups do a fun activity together to deepen relationships. Groups might play a great board game, go for a walk and get ice cream, whatever they decide to intentionally get to know each other and their leaders together.

FAMILY NIGHT SUNDAY AUGUST 18: 4-6PM

Family night is another new initiative in the second half of 2024. We want to connect our parents and younger siblings not yet old enough for youth to our youth team. We'll start the night with some fun together, the younger siblings might then go on a hike to a playground and have some fun, the youth will head off to their groups as usual and some of the Trinity team will be sharing with parents about how we can partner better with families and support them together as parents to raise their kids to know, love and serve Jesus. We'll finish the night with all of us together for a great meal. So pop it in the diary as a family and we look forward to seeing you there.

SUMMIT CAMP LOOKING BACK

At the end of term one the youth from Tonsley, Colonel Light Gardens, Unley, Brighton and Woodcroft went away for our combined Summit Camp. You can see what it was like in the video below. Next years Summit Camp is booked in for 11-13 April 2025.
