Why do you do what you do?
I’d love to see our neighbourhood transformed by the good news of the cross and empty tomb. Jesus says that heaven rejoices every time someone turns to him. My biggest prayer for our church is that we’ll have more of heaven’s joy at CLG, as we get the privilege of introducing people from our neighbourhood and networks to the Saviour.
For me personally, to turn to Jesus, took lots of kind people opening the Bible with me to help me understand what He has done for me. I was so thankful for the people who gently yet persistently chased me down with that good news, and I thought: If I can be that person for someone else, that'd be amazing.
Tell us a bit more about you:
I spent much of my youth playing the Adelaide band scene. It was not long after I’d recommitted my life to Jesus that I began a ministry apprenticeship at Trinity Church Brighton. I married my wife Aiesha and we moved to Sydney where I studied at Moore Theological College. In 2020 we moved back to Adelaide and I began working on the Trinity Church Colonel Light Gardens team, and in 2024 I took over the Senior Pastor role here.
When I’m not working, I’m spending time with Aiesha and our 3 energetic young kids. I also love tinkering with DIY music projects and reading cozy crime.
