Why do you do what you do?

I’d love to see our neighbourhood transformed by the good news of the cross and empty tomb. Jesus says that heaven rejoices every time someone turns to him. My biggest prayer for our church is that we’ll have more of heaven’s joy at CLG, as we get the privilege of introducing people from our neighbourhood and networks to the Saviour.

For me personally, to turn to Jesus, took lots of kind people opening the Bible with me to help me understand what He has done for me. I was so thankful for the people who gently yet persistently chased me down with that good news, and I thought: If I can be that person for someone else, that'd be amazing.

Tell us a bit more about you:
I spent much of my youth playing the Adelaide band scene. It was not long after I’d recommitted my life to Jesus that I began a ministry apprenticeship at Trinity Church Brighton. I married my wife Aiesha and we moved to Sydney where I studied at Moore Theological College. In 2020 we moved back to Adelaide and I began working on the Trinity Church Colonel Light Gardens team, and in 2024 I took over the Senior Pastor role here.

When I’m not working, I’m spending time with Aiesha and our 3 energetic young kids. I also love tinkering with DIY music projects and reading cozy crime.

Why do you do what you do?

I've been involved in church communities for many years and have always loved being a part of a local church family. I joined Trinity Church Colonel Light Gardens in 2018 as the Kid's Ministry Leader with a passion to partner with families to see kids grow up to love and serve Jesus. Over the next few years, as I completed my theology degree at the Bible College of South Australia, God grew my heart not just to serve our kids but to play whatever part I can in helping all God's people belong well to a church family and love and serve Jesus whole-heartedly.

Tell us a bit more about you:

Before going to Bible College, I trained as a Junior Primary Teacher and loved working in that role for several years. I've lived in Adelaide most of my life and love that both the beach and beautiful Adelaide Hills are only a short drive from where I live. I love spending quality time with family and friends, and curling up with a good book to read.

Why do you do what you do?

I love to see our church community being encouraged and strengthened each Sunday and worshipping wholeheartedly, in a life-changing way.

Music has played a significant role in my life. I hold an Honours performance degree and have been a pianist and singer in church bands for over 30 years, just out of obedience as God calls us to use our skills and talents to glorify Him. It’s also great fun! When I won my first piano competition at age 13, my mum made me give 10% of my prize money to the church. This started a lifelong awareness of giving God the glory for earthly wins and giving to the church.

Tell us a bit more about you:

I’m a mother of 3, graphic designer, musician, and small business owner. Although I have a classical music background, I love jazz. But I also like worship songs, K-pop, indie, rock – it’s eclectic!
